Workers' Compensation
Workers' Compensation is a special type of case in which the worker has as his sole remedy that which is prescribed by law. Workers' Compensation is what is termed an exclusive remedy. For instance, ordinarily there is no set of facts which will allow a worker to seek redress from his employer for negligence or for putting her in a position where injury is likely. On the other hand, manufacturers of machinery or chemicals or other products involved in causing the accident may be sued.
We accept only Workers' Compensation cases in which the injured person has suffered substantial permanent disability. Ours is a small firm geared to the representation of seriously injured persons and those who we believe have wrongfully died.
We screen our cases carefully before we agree to represent an injured party. We accept a small number of cases chosen on the basis of the seriousness of the injury and the importance of the issues. This highly selective approach allows us to provide vigorous representation to each client.
When we do accept a Workers' Compensation case, we believe the backgrounds of our lawyers and the fact that we can concentrate our efforts on a few well-chosen cases enhances the probability of success for our clients.
